Interface language

The kubelatch web interface is available in English and Spanish.

Change the language

Once you are signed in, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and pick one under Language, or go to My account → Preferences. Both change the same setting.

The pages you see without the sidebar (the sign-in page, an invitation or reset link, approving a CLI sign-in, an agent's consent) have a language selector in the top right corner. Each language appears in its own name: English, Español.

  • Signed in, the choice is saved in your account and follows you to any browser.
  • On the sign-in page, the choice is remembered only in this browser until you sign in.

Which language you see

kubelatch uses the first of these that exists:

  1. The language saved in your account.
  2. The last language chosen in this browser.
  3. The first of your browser's languages that kubelatch has (English or Spanish).
  4. English.

The first time you sign in, if your account has no language yet, kubelatch saves the one you are seeing.

What is always in English

  • What kubectl and the kubelatch CLI print: kubectl does not say which language it wants. Errors lists kubectl's and the API's messages; kubelatch CLI lists the CLI's.
  • The API's error field. Each error also carries a stable code; the interface uses it to show the message in your language.
  • Cluster diagnostics in the administration screens (the error under a cluster's status and the RBAC cleanup result when a cluster is deleted).

Names and notes typed by people (credential names, notes, revocation reasons) are shown as written.

Light and dark

The interface follows your system's colour scheme by default (prefers-color-scheme). To fix it, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and pick Light, Dark or Same as the system under Appearance; My account → Preferences has the same choice. The choice is kept in this browser, not in your account.
